What is PM Kisan Yojana
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) is a scheme of the central government launched on 1st December 2018 to provide financial assistance to the farmers of the country. This scheme is fully funded by the government of India and provides Rs 6000 every year to the farmers in three installments of Rs 2000 each.
It is designed to provide financial support to the farmers in managing their living and agricultural expenses. This scheme provides benefits to all landholding farmers in their financial needs, which are inputs in agriculture and living expenses, including children’s education etc.
PM Kisan Installment Schedule
The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme provides benefits of Rs 6000 every year to all the farmers of the country in three installments. These three installments are provided with a gap of four months. It is distributed between April-July, August- November, and December- March every year.

The authorities of the government of India have given the official date of releasing the PM Kisan 17th Installment 2024 for the farmers. As per the updates, the prime minister of the country will release the payment on 18th June 2024 from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Eligible farmers need to check their bank accounts of that day or corresponding days to receive payment on their bank accounts.
How to Check PM Kisan 17th Beneficiaries List
To check your name in PM Kisan beneficiaries list, farmers need to follow the basic steps, which are as follows:
- Visit the official website, www.pmkisan.gov.in and ensure a strong internet connection.
- Find and click on the “PM Kisan Beneficiary List”.
- Now select the basic details like your block name, district name, state name and village, and press enter.
- Choose the Get Report option and click on it.
- On the page, you can see your name on the beneficiary list.
e-KYC Update on PM Kisan 17th Installment
To update the e-KYC online, farmers need to follow the basic steps, which are as follows:
- Open the official website https://pmkisan.gov.in/ using a laptop.
- On the homepage, select the e-KYC option available on the top right side.
- Write your Adhar Card Number and validation captcha code available, then press enter.
- Now, enter your current mobile number for verification.
- Click on Get OTP and enter the OTP sent on your registered mobile number for verification.
- Wait for authorities to verify your Adhar card number, which is mandatory for receiving payment for next installment.
Who will not get the benefits of PM Kisan 17th Installment
The department of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi has designed specialized criteria which need to be satisfied by the farmers who are interested in receiving the benefits. Some of the points which make farmers not eligible for benefits of PM Kisan 17th Installment 2024 are as follows:
- Farmers who still need to complete their pending e-KYC and land verification.
- If any member of the family is doing a government job, then no one from their family is allowed to benefit from PM Kisan.
- The farmers who didn’t have any land and only worked on rented farms were not eligible for receiving benefits.
