Many people claimed that Walmart charged extra prices on goods. The goods were sold via the Weighted Goods Pricing policy. Walmart Weighted Goods Settlement Eligibility
Walmart has issued an eligibility format to claim the return under the Weighted Good Settlement. According to the eligibility prescribed by Walmart, people who purchase grocery items like pork, packaged food, seafood, poultry, meat, and other items included in the bagged citrus category, like navel oranges, grapefruit, organic oranges, and such other items will be covered under the policy. However, this purchase must be made from October 19, 2018, to January 19, 2024.
Walmart Weighted Goods Settlement Claim Options
Walmart has classified them into two categories to claim the amount. They have provided options for those having purchase proof and those who do not have purchase proof. These two cases have been described below.
- Have Purchase Proof: If you have proof of purchase, then you can submit the necessary documents like bill, location of the store, list of products bought, etc.
The customers will get only two percent of the purchased item. The maximum amount one can get is $500.
- Do Not Have Purchase Proof: People without purchase proof need not worry as they also get payment according to the following pattern.
For up to 50 items, $10 is given. For 51–75 items, $15 is given. For 76–100 items, $20 is given. Lastly, for items more than 100 items, $25 is given.
- The final payment made may be less than the maximum limit of benefit because it lies in the number of claims made. Also, duplicate compensation is not provided for a similar purchase.
How to Claim Walmart Weighted Goods Settlement
The customers need to follow some procedure to claim the amount given by Walmart. It must be kept in mind that fake customers are not treated under this claim. Moreover, people who have already been compensated will not get the amount again. There are two categories to claim the amount by Walmart Weighted Goods Settlement.
People having purchase proof:
- One needs to gather documents like bills, a list of items purchased, or the store locations, which can help the authorities to know the actual purchase.
- You can fill in the form online and attach scanned copies of documents. However, you can also download the form and fill in and send it to the address mentioned on the claim packet.
- You have to submit the application before June 5, 2024.
People not having Purchase Proof:
- One cannot claim the amount online. An individual has to fill in the form manually by downloading it.
- After that, you need to have a rough idea of the items that you have purchased between October 19, 2018, to January 19, 2024.
- Then, you can check the payment for the estimated item and sign the form.
- Once you have signed, you need to mail the same form to the provided address. People can only submit the form by June 5, 2024. No payment will be made after that.
- Ensure that you have all the copies of the documents that might be required for inspection.
